Alex Stiebling vs Joseph Riggs

Jan 22, 2004
Alex Stiebling said after the fight that he had taken Joe "Diesel" Riggs way too lightly and his the way his face looked was all the proof anyone needed to believe it. For nearly seven minutes Riggs used Stiebling as his personal punching bag as he pounded away at the Pride and UFC veteran in a bout that seemed very close to being stopped at a couple of occasions. Stiebling showed his immense heart as he tried valiantly yet unsuccessfully to derail the Riggs attack. Stiebling did not look like he would be able to last much longer when all of the sudden, out of the blue he cinched in a tight triangle choke that left Riggs with no options other than to tapout. Alex Stiebling scores the come from behind win with a triangle choke at 1:54 of the second round.
