Lagace took control of the ring from the opening bell, looking comfortable on his feet, and noticeably more focused than in previous appearances. Loft was kept on the retreat until he was taken down by Lagace, who landed in side control. Throwing knees from the ground, Lagace was able to wear down his opponent, forcing him to let down his defenses and turn his attention to the knees being delivered. Lagace finds no problems in scoring the mount on Loft, from where he proceeds to pound his way to forcing Loft to surrender his back. Lagace, a BJJ purple belt, easily snaps on a rear naked choke and gets the tap at 4:30 of Round 1.
