Gladiator Challenge 33: Brutal Force

Mitch Nester vs Justin Levens

Dec 21, 2004
Local tough guy Mitch Nester had his hands full with Ruas Vale Tudo fighter Justin "The Executioner" Levens, who lived up to his nickname by dismantling his opponent with a technical knockout 1:02 of round one. This was one of the most savage beatings of the night, and showed just how much of an advantage a fully trained mixed martial arts practitioner has over the typical fighter. The fight started with the two clinching almost immediately. Nester was then bounced against the cage by a beautiful throw, with his arm around Justin's neck. After freeing his head and creating some space, Levens mounted and bludgeoned his opponent with several punches and elbows. After regaining his footing to deliver a knee, The Executioner dove back onto his opponent and delivered a few finishing elbow strikes before the referee mercifully stopped the mugging. Levens should get a shot at the light-heavyweight title soon, as every outing he looks more and more impressive. Maybe this could occur after a possible battle with New Era Martial Arts fighter Tosh Cook. Either way, we will have to wait until next year to see this highly anticipated fight. On the other hand, Mitch Nester is eagerly awaiting a rematch, as he feels this fight ended a little too early.
