Next up was Justin Mercado of Grappling Unlimited against Harris “The Hitman” Sarmiento of the 808 Fight Factory. These guys put on an amazing show that had the crowd worked up early. From the start both guys were banging, with Sarmiento getting the better of Mercado on the feet. Both guys did damage, but every time Mercado would take a vicious right hand from Sarmiento, he would lower his head in an effort to clinch. This effort cost him dearly, because every time he would come down, The Hitman would tie him up and knee him fiercely in the face. Action on the ground was also exciting, and featured reversal after reversal with both fighters laying it all on the line in trying to end the fight. Neither quite managed to get the better of the other, though, and the fight ended in a split decision for Sarmiento. Awesome action from start to finish; look for more from both these guys soon.
