Serge Lafond vs Martin Tremblay
In this heavy weight matchup, the majority of the action took place standing, with both fighters battling it out with kicks to break the other down. Lafond had the upper hand throughout the entire bout, figuring out Tremblay’s game plan early on, and countering it effectively each time he attempted to execute it. All three rounds saw Tremblay trying to throw the same right roundhouse kick, and subsequently saw Lafond counter by landing with his right hand. Tremblay did not alter his game plan, despite its ineffectiveness and in the end, the scorecards added up in favour of Lafond for the unanimous decision victory.
