George Lopez defeated Michael Quintance by Decision (Majority) 5:00 2R
George Lopez, a Gladiator Challenge fan favorite, had been training with David Terrell at the Nor Cal Fighting Alliance in preparation for his fight. The result; a much better all around ground game. Lopez was able to knock his opponent down several times during the fight with nice stand up, almost finishing the fight with a guillotine choke until the bell sounded for the end of the round. Lopez was able to take the fight to the ground and maintain top position with good balance and submission awareness from within Quintance’s half guard. I’m not sure how Quintance was able to make it through the entire fight, but he gets the tough man award for this night. Somehow, one of the judges saw the fight in favor of Quintance.
