The next fight featured Kaynan “The Barbarian” Kaku against Santino “Da Haole Assassain” Defranco. This one turned out to be fairly slow, with Kaku forcing the takedown and trying to mount offense on the ground, which Defranco was effective at preventing. That seemed to be about the only thing he was effective at doing tonight, as Kaku kept applying the takedowns, only to have the ref stand the fighters up time after time for lack of action. Not a really exciting fight, but this may have been due more to the fighters’ styles than their talents.
