The fourth fight of the night featured Bryan Pardoe of Team Cannon against local fighter and Grappling Unlimited student, Sam Bass. This was only Sam's second MMA fight, and the edge in experience of the much more well-seasoned Pardoe really showed. In the brief exchanges on the feet, Pardoe got the better of Bass, which led to a clinches, where Bass tried to take Pardoe down to utilize his wrestling skills. Bass' takedowns were repeatedly thwarted by Pardoe, however, and Sam kept seeming to come up in a bad position while on the ground. Pardoe delivered several brutal knees to the body before gaining the cross position and raining down heavy punches on Bass. At 3:40 of round 1, Bass tapped to strikes from what was basically an indefensible position.
