Chris David, who wrote an E-mail to us after we cited his lack of striking during his last outing, pulled off a classic ground-and-pound performance against Yahir Reyes.
Herb Dean -- the referee that may have saved Tim Sylvia's arm in the last UFC -- allowed this fight to continue after about 20 unanswered punches to the head. Reyes was moving his hips in an attempt to use his guard to avoid the punches, but almost every punch got through. This brings up the issue of "intelligently" defending yourself versus effectively defending yourself.
