Carney entered the cage to rematch the former UFC Champion, Dave Menne. This fight went the distance, with all three rounds following the same script. Carney would come out and connect with an early combination. Only to have Menne secure the takedown and fight from the ground for the remainder of the round. Carney had a few submissions attempts, but Menne’s positional skills on the ground proved to be to much for Carney. Menne earned unanimous decision for the three rounds battle.
