All the questions were answered between the two warriors, as Chuck was the better man tonight. Tito took his stunning knockout defeat like the true champion he is and gave Liddell nothing but respect. Tito gave no excuses for the loss, other than the fact that a Liddell thumb caught his eye and distracted him, allowing Liddell to tee off on him.
Liddell, who desperately had to win tonight, proved that he is at least the second or third best fighter in the UFC light heavyweight division. The crushing loss to Randy Couture last year has sunk deep in his mind and he vows vengeance.
However, we first must find out who will win between Vitor Belfort, the reigning champ at 205 in the UFC and Couture when they fight again. Liddell will probably have to sit and twiddle his thumbs until then because there is no other feasible opponent unless he goes back over to PRIDE. There he can try to redeem himself against Rampage Jackson or test his skills against Wanderlei Silva.
