LEMOORE, Calif., March 19 -- Weigh-ins for Thursday's Palace Fighting Championship card took longer than expected as PFC President Christian Printup was stuck trying to find a last-minute replacement to fight for the vacant welterweight belt.
Richie Hightower (Pictures) had called in sick for work, and PFC scrambled to find an opponent to fight
Bryan Travers (Pictures) for the 170-pound title. Stepping in will be
Joel Crawford (Pictures), who has failed to win in four fights.
Also on the card, light heavyweight champion
Jeremy Freitag (Pictures) will be making his first title defense against
Jorge Oliveira (Pictures). In a middleweight title eliminator,
Phil Collins (Pictures) will take on
Mike Martinez, with the winner eventually facing champion
Kenny Ento (Pictures).
