Promoter extraordinaire TJ Thompson definitely did not disappoint, as SuperBrawl 32 featured some of the best in the business (Inoue, Miller, Suda), not to mention some of the stars of our sport that were spotted in the audience (Dana White, Enson Inoue, Phil Baroni).
Before getting into the action, it should be noted that Enson engaged in a brief but spirited conversation with Dana White during intermission, wherein it looked like business was being discussed. Could a return to action inside an octagon be in store for Enson in the near future?
Straight to the action, though: the night started with an amateur preliminary match that featured Ryan Lee of Bull's Pen (he's the one with all the tattoos) against Ivan Jennings of the 808 Fight Factory. Both fighters were obviously pretty new to the MMA game, but they gave it their all, and produced an overall entertaining fight to a pretty sparse crowd.
This bout took place at about 7:30, when the card was scheduled to start, but Hawaii time is always a little behind, so most people didn't get to see it. The fight ended in a draw after 3, 3 minute rounds. Both fighters will look to improve and find their way back to this venue as professionals, so look for big things from them in the future.
