LEMOORE, Calif., July 18 -- Weigh-ins for Thursday's Palace Fighting Championship at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino took place on what was a typically sweltering Central California summer night.
Each fighter that stepped on the scale made weight in his first attempt save for
Adam Smith, who had to take a short jog in the Lemoore heat to cut four more pounds in order to make the catch-weight of 210 to take on K-1 star
Dewey Cooper.
Two other fighters were not able to make the weigh-ins.
Palika Drummondo (Pictures) was slated to take on Central Valley's
Kenny Ento (Pictures) and failed to show up. Promoter Christian Printup said they would find an opponent to take his place. Also not making the weigh-ins until later in the evening was Cleverson Dezonet, who was stuck in traffic due to an accident in the Los Angeles area. Printup claimed Dezonet was going to weigh-in at about 9 p.m. tonight and would still fight.
