Mixed martial arts pioneer Don Frye will throw leather with EliteXC veteran Dave Herman in the featured bout at Shark Fights 6 “Stars and Stripes” this Saturday at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas.
Frye, who turns 44 in November, appears to have plenty left in the gas tank. The popular UFC and Pride Fighting Championships veteran has recorded four wins in his last six fights and has finished three of his opponents in that span inside the first round. Though he won two UFC tournaments and reached the final in another, Frye remains one of the more underappreciated competitors of his time.
