The Sherdog Radio Network closed out the week of solid guests with a couple of more great interviews. Joining the SDS today was WEC matchmaker Sean Shelby. Sean touched on a variety of topics with Greg and Jeff today. Including the progression of the promotions, whether or not the lightweight division will stay inside the WEC, and if the addition of a flyweight division can be expected anytime soon.
On Beatdown Lotfi Sariahmed and I were joined by UFC welterweight contender Anthony Johnson. "Rumble" is scheduled to face Japanese fighter Yoshiyuki Yoshida next Saturday night at UFC 104 in Los Angeles, California. Johnson talks about the matchup, training, and a potential scrap with fellow UFC fighter John "Doomsday" Howard.
Radio was solid today as former WEC light-heavyweight champion Doug Marshall and "King Mo" Muhammed Lawal joined "Beatdown" and "The Savage Dog Show" today.
Lawal talked about signing with Strikeforce and what he thought about fighting in the promotion. Mo also touched on fighting at heavyweight and who he thought might be in front of him soon.
On "Beatdown," Lotfi and I were joined by Doug "The Rhino" Marshall. The former WEC 205 pound king is fighting Keith Berry this saturday night in Purecombat. "The Rhino" spoke about moving down to middleweight from heavyweight where his career started. And if he felt he could make 170 pounds and fight in the welterweight division.
