UFC 212 Highlight Video: Watch Deiveson Figueiredo Stop Marco Beltran

Deiveson Figueiredo was exceptional in the opening bout of UFC 212 as he scored an impressive stoppage of Mexico’s Marco Beltran.

Figueiredo waded through some strikes in the first and threatened with a dangerous guillotine late in the frame and nearly got his foe with a heel hook in the second. Beltran, who was fighting with a heavy heart because his mother sadly passed away a few days back, escaped the submission and exploded back to his feet. However, an elbow to the head sliced opened Beltran’s face and Figueiredo followed that up with a vicious right uppercut, dropping him. Though Beltran survived the round, referee Osiris Maia waived it off between rounds two and three, giving Brazil’s Figueiredo the TKO win.
