UFC Fight Night 108 Highlight Video: Watch Brandon Moreno Drop & Finish Dustin Ortiz
Brandon Moreno’s ascent through the flyweight ranks has been breathtaking thus far and on Saturday, he did it again.
After Dustin Ortiz continuously took him down in the first round, the energetic Mexican kid rallied in the second and scored a dramatic submission finish. Moreno began the second frame well with scattered low kicks and counter hooks to the head, but Ortiz eventually scored another takedown. But after Moreno scrambled back to his feet, he blasted his foe with a left head kick from left field. Ortiz face-planted on his way down but was able to recover his senses just enough to not get knocked out. However, Moreno was all over him, seized his back and eventually locked in the rear-naked choke to force the tap. The end came at 4:06 of the round, to give Moreno a 3-0 start to his official UFC career.
