After GSP Loss, Hardy Vows to Return to Title Contention
Jun 24, 2010
Dan Hardy went five rounds with UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre in March at UFC 111. He lost a unanimous decision, but there’s no doubt he learned from the defeat.
“I know I need to work on my wrestling,” Hardy told Sherdog.com. “I’m never going to be a great wrestler -- I know that -- but there are certain things I can improve on that are going to help me get through fights with wrestlers.”
In this exclusive interview shot June 16 at Strikeforce “Los Angeles” after Hardy’s training partner, Jeremy Umphries, had just scored a win, “The Outlaw” discusses with Sherdog’s Loretta Hunt his loss to GSP, the UFC’s expulsion of teammate Paul Daley and potential future opponents.
