Anderson Silva reflects on his win against Derek Brunson at UFC 208.
Silva, arguably the greatest fighter in MMA history, finally got back into the win column in the co-feature as he out-struck Brunson for three rounds to earn a unanimous decision.
Silva tried fighting the way he always has, but Father Time was working against him throughout. What kept him ahead of the game was that Brunson seemed too intimidated or cautious to let his hands go, leaving a lot to be desired. In the end, “The Spider” landed enough clean punches and kicks over the course of the fight to win the verdict via tallies of 29-28 (twice) and 30-27.
