Cyborg: ‘Aggression Will Make the Difference’

Aug 12, 2009

Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos can’t help but crack a competitive smile when you mention Gina Carano.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has waited over a year for the opportunity to test Carano’s mettle against her own and this Saturday’s Strikeforce “Carano vs. Cyborg” at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., will be the moment of truth.

Will it come down to power versus technique? Or will aggression, stamina and mental fortitude come into play?

Santos, her husband and trainer Evangelista “Cyborg,” as well as her striking coach Sean McCully all weigh in on the biggest fight in women’s MMA history.
