Strawweight prospect Cynthia Calvillo was terrific in her UFC debut as she submitted Amanda Bobby Cooper in the opening round.
She out-grappled the TUF 22 veteran at will and transitioned beautifully from a missed anaconda choke into a rear-naked choke. Cooper fended off the submission well, but once Calvillo rolled her over onto her belly, Cooper had nowhere to escape. After a few moments of applying pressure, Cooper tapped out at the 3:19 mark.
