Gilbert Melendez (Pictures) is one of the top lightweight fighters in the world. This Saturday in Japan, the Californian will get a chance to show the world what he's made of when he faces Nobuhiro Obiya (Pictures) at PRIDE Bushido 12.

Sherdog Insider traveled to the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif. to document the gifted young fighter's preparation as he trains for the biggest fight of his career.

In this exclusive video, Melendez spars with UFC contenders Josh Koscheck (Pictures) and Mike Swick (Pictures), and recent ROTR 175-lb. champion Jake Shields (Pictures) weighs-in with insight into the talented wrestler's game plan for Saturday's contest.
