'JZ' Expects Spring Return

After winning back-to-back K-1 Heroes tournament wins in 2006 and 2007, Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante has had a tough go of things.

He had a win disappointing outings against highly ranked Shinya Aoki, and then followed that up with a loss to Tatsuya Kawajiri after a lengthy layoff due to a lingering knee injury.

Cavalcante now tells Sherdog.com that he is 100 percent healthy and ready to return after nearly a year on the shelf. Speaking with Greg Savage, Cavalcante -- once ranked as high as No. 2 in the world -- that he is certain he will be back in the ring sometime this spring. Check out this video interview to hear “JZ” discuss the tough times and his desire to get back to his winning ways in 2010.
