Salahdine Parnasse Says Marian Ziolkowski’s Alleged Knee Injury is Ingenuine

According to Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki two-division champion Salahdine Parnasse, upcoming opponent Marian Ziolkowski tried to avoid him in the past.

Current featherweight and interim lightweight titleholder Parnasse (17-1, 9-1 KSW) can’t wait to prove his worth against Ziolkowski in their clash at KSW 83 on June 3. At 25, Parnasse is one of the best European prospects. In his latest assignments, Parnasse recaptured the 145-pound championship he lost to Daniel Torres by dominating his rival in their KSW 65 rematch. He then moved up a weight class to face Daniel Rutkowski, ended up choking his foe at KSW 68 and winning the interim 155-pound title. Originally, Parnasse was attached to a clash with Ziolkowski, but a knee injury forced the Polish fighter out of the fight. When asked about that situation, Parnasse stated he never bought his adversary’s story about the alleged injury, pointing out that he saw him hitting pads a few days later after announcing he was out of the bout. Parnasse also stressed he fought through injuries in his career.
