Silva-Henderson II Announced for Feb. 24

The PRIDE Fighting Championships on Thursday held a press conference in Los Angeles to officially announce the main event for its second salvo on American Soil. Brazilian star and PRIDE 205-pound champion Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) will fight PRIDE 183-pound champ Dan Henderson (Pictures) Feb. 24 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The two fighters met the media today and spoke about next month's fight. Also, Dream Stage Entertainment chief Nobuyuki Sakakibara made a statement regarding the card, which will also feature PRIDE 160-pound champion Takanori Gomi (Pictures) in a non-title affair.
