Strikeforce Denies Affliction Deal, Fedor In Works

Jul 30, 2009

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker denied reports that an "11th hour" deal existed with Affliction Entertainment to save its doomed Aug. 1 event. Coker, who said he spent much of his eight-day vacation in Italy on the phone, said he was kept abreast of Affliction's harrowing week and stayed very much in the game.

In this exclusive video interview, Coker confirms active negotations with M-1 Global to procure Fedor Emelianenko's services in a co-promoted Strikeforce event and discusses what Affliction's demise means for his promotion and his expanding fighter roster.
