When Kim Couture decided to give her husband's occupation a try, she expected a certain amount of attention would come with the job description.

After all, females are a fascinating commodity in the rough-and-tumble game of mixed martial arts.

But only a fight into her professional career, the wife of UFC legend Randy Couture is under the microscope.

Looking to build on a controversial pro debut loss against Kim Rose last June in Las Vegas, Couture is out to prove she has a place on the burgeoning women's MMA roster.

Couture faces Lina Kvokov on Friday at Strikeforce “Destruction” in San Jose, Calif., and spoke with Sherdog's Loretta Hunt and Mike Sloan about her role in the MMA world, her husband's recent loss and Brock Lesnar's performance at UFC 91, and the aggressiveness she's found in training to bring into her next bout.
