Varner Not Expecting a Standup War

WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner will return to the cage for the first time in nearly a year when he faces interim titleholder Benson Henderson at WEC 46 in Sacramento, Calif., on Sunday night.
The Arizona Combat Sports product did not hide his disdain for Henderson's interim title in this exclusive interview with Sherdog.com. Varner also noted his considerable striking advantage -- something he feels will play a big role in the outcome of the fight. Varner made it clear he expects Henderson to try to get the fight to the mat rather than stand in the pocket and trade.
