Flyweight contender Reis made a statement Saturday night that he should be next in line to challenge Demetrious Johnson for the UFC’s flyweight title. Reis dominated Japan’s Sasaki for three rounds and survived a rally late in the third to win a unanimous decision.
The Brazilian-born Philadelphia fighter scored several key takedowns, controlled the action on the ground and popped Sasaki with several stinging punches on the feet to win via tallies of 29-28 across the board (online betting).
