Woodley Sees Saffiedine as Hurdle to No. 1 Contendership

Tyron Woodley hopes to be contesting for Strikeforce’s welterweight championship sometime in the not-to-distance future.
If his hopes of a world title are to come to fruition the former University of Missouri wrestling standout will have to get past a very tough Tarec Saffiedine Friday night in Nashville at Strikeforce “Challengers 13”.
Woodley will be facing a truly gifted striker for the first time in his young MMA career, and knows he will have to be sharp if he wants to keep his ledger clean. Though he is just seven starts into his professional campaign, Woodley insists the hundreds of highly charged and competitive amateur wrestling matches he has competed in give him an advantage most up-and-coming fighters, including Saffiedine, cannot equal.
