Glory, the world’s leading kickboxing promotion, returns to the Windy City Friday night with another solid night of action, though a pivotal part of the main card has been altered at the last minute.

Zinedine Hameur-Lain (56-14, 35 KOs), a former Glory tournament winner, was scheduled to face Zack Mwekassa (15-4, 13 KOs) in the first half of the one-night four-man light heavyweight contender tournament. But the Illinois State Athletic Commission has removed Mwekassa from the bill due to medical issues, though no other details have been released.

Filling for Mwekassa will be Brian Collette (23-3, 18 KOs), an up-and-coming contender from Virginia. Rounding out the other half of the bracket will be Danyo Illunga (57-10, 44 KOs) locking horns with Ariel Machado (43-8, 33 KOs).

Headlining the Glory 38 main card is the light heavyweight championship as Artem Vakhitov (17-5, 7 KOs) will defend his crown against Saulo Cavalari (60-4, 49 KOs). Richard Abraham will take on Antoine Pinto in the main card’s co-feature.

The event takes place at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, just outside Chicago, and will air live on ESPN3 beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT. The Glory 38 SuperFight Series undercard, anchored by a heavyweight battle between Benjamin Adegbuyi and Anderson “Braddock” Silva, will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
