On Nov. 21, 2009, the Ultimate Fighting Championship was in Las Vegas for UFC 106.

In the main event, Forrest Griffin edged out a split decision win over Tito Ortiz. It served as a rematch of their UFC 59 bout where Ortiz won, also by split decision. They would go on to fight for a third and final time at UFC 148, where Griffin took the rubber match with a unanimous decision.

In the co-main event, Josh Koscheck submitted Anthony Johnson in the second round. Elsewhere on the card, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira TKO’d Luiz Cane, Amir Sadollah beat Phil Baroni by decision and Ben Saunders scored a knockout over Marcus Davis.

UFC 106 had 10,529 people in attendance and an estimated buyrate of 375,000.
