Sherdog’s Top 10: Best Fighters Never to Compete in the UFC

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has long been recognized as the top mixed martial arts promotion in the world, and as such, it houses a majority of the sport’s best fighters. However, there are plenty of elite martial artists who for one reason or another have never competed inside the Octagon.

The latest installment in the Sherdog Top 10 series examines those fighters, from an “Ice Cold” Ukrainian heavyweight who went on a tear in Pride Fighting Championships to a “Funky” Olympic wrestler who helped put Bellator MMA on the map.

Some choices are obvious while others are more obscure. In some cases, those who made the cut might come as a surprise.
