1. Hisaki Kato vs. Joe Schilling
Bellator 139
June 26, 2015 | Mulvane, Kansas

Kato in his organizational debut knocked out Schilling with a Superman punch in the second round of their middleweight feature at the Kansas Star Arena. An unconscious Schilling bounced off the canvas 34 seconds into Round 2, the sudden violence pouring gasoline on an already fiery crowd.

As he had never fought outside of his native Japan, Kato made the most of his introduction to the American MMA audience. The Japanese upstart took down Schilling in the first round and controlled him there for the better part of four minutes, climbing to full mount in the closing seconds. Not long after the start of round two, Kato backed Schilling towards the cage, left his feet and detonated a left hand on the kickboxer’s jaw. With that, he had authored Bellator’s most memorable knockout to date.
