Two fading all-time greats find themselves on a collision course with one another. Belfort, 41, has not posted back-to-back victories since he rattled off three wins in a row against Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson between Jan. 19, 2013 and Nov. 9, 2013. Still a physical marvel with breathtaking hand speed and ferocious knockout power, “The Phenom” last fought at UFC 212 in June, when he outpointed former Strikeforce champion Nate Marquardt across three rounds. Machida, meanwhile, snapped a three-fight losing streak with a split decision over the previously unbeaten Eryk Anders in the UFC Fight Night 125 main event on Feb. 3. The 39-year-old karateka has gone 7-8 since he started his MMA career with 16 straight victories.
