Belal Muhammad hopes to catch lightning in a bottle and take down one of the top dogs in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s welterweight division.

A short-notice substitution for Khamzat Chimaev, the former Titan Fighting Championship titleholder will face the returning Leon Edwards in the UFC Fight Night 187 main event on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Misha Cirkunov locks horns with Ryan Spann in the three-round co-headliner at 205 pounds.

UFC Fight Night “Edwards vs. Muhammad”—which streams to ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT—also features a featherweight affair pairing Dan Ige with Gavin Tucker, a bantamweight tilt pitting Jonathan Martinez against Davey Grant, a flyweight scrap matching Manel Kape with Matheus Nicolau Pereira and a middleweight clash slotting Eryk Anders opposite Darren Stewart.
