Israel Adesanya travels in exclusive circles as one of 27 undefeated mixed martial artists on the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster with at least one win inside the Octagon.

Adesanya retained the undisputed middleweight championship with a five-round unanimous decision over 2000 Olympic silver medalist Yoel Romero in the UFC 248 headliner on March 7 in Las Vegas. “The Last Stylebender” took a conservative path to victory against the American Top Team brute, outstriking him from a distance while piling up points and damage with leg kicks. Though both men were criticized for their performances, Adesanya emerged with his perfect record and title reign at 185 pounds intact. The City Kickboxing star figures to draw his next assignment against another unbeaten fighter—Paulo Henrique Costa—sometime in 2020, provided the COVID-19 pandemic allows the UFC to resume its schedule.
