Walker Keeps Gladiator Challenge Title
Jul 10, 2006
LAKEPORT, Calif., July 8 — The Konocti Vista resort near Clear Lake
played host to the latest installment of Tedd Williams (Pictures)’ Gladiator Challenge.
Cummings Fight Team’s Wes Walker (Pictures) retained his super heavyweight belt by defeating Travers Collins in only 44 hard-hitting seconds. Sensing victory, Walker jumped on his downed opponent and threw
leather until referee Cecil Peoples had seen enough and called a
halt to the contest.

In other action Hector Andrade (Pictures) tapped Brett Slone at 1:35 of round one with strikes.

Early in round one it seemed the much larger Jameson was going to
end the fight with one of many guillotine chokes seen though out
the day, but the crafty Hinkle was able to escape twice. From his
back Hinkle secured a straight Kimura lock, which caused Jameson’s
elbow to click. That was enough for him to tapout at the 3:17 mark
of the first.
