Former UFC, Bellator and Strikeforce heavyweight Shawn Jordan has a new home.
Jordan’s UFC contract expired following a decision loss to Ruslan Magomedov at UFC 192 this past October. “The Savage” told BloodyElbow.com that the Zuffa-owned organization elected not to re-sign him.
“Yes, they did not re-sign me. No real reasoning. Most likely because I didn’t re-sign before the loss,” Jordan said. “The division is shallow and all my fights are good. Yet they let me go.”
Prior to his loss to Magomedov, Jordan was on a three-fight winning streak in the Octagon that included KO/TKO triumphs over Derek Lewis, Jared Cannonier, and Jack May. He ended his UFC tenure with a 6-4 mark. The 31-year-old American Top Team representative is 18-7 in his professional career with all but one of his victories coming inside the distance.
