The hometown favorites carried the day when it came to the UFC 127 postfight bonuses, as Aussie Kyle Noke and New Zealander Mark Hunt each walked away with $75,000 for “Submission of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night,” respectively.

Meanwhile, welterweight veterans Brian Ebersole and Chris Lytle each earned $75,000 for their back-and-forth, three-round “Fight of the Night.”

UFC 127 took place at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia and was headlined by a welterweight clash between former two-division champion B.J. Penn and 170-pound stalwart Jon Fitch. After three rounds of give-and-take action, the main event was ruled a majority draw.

Noke earned his bonus by sinking in a smooth rear-naked choke and submitting fellow “Ultimate Fighter” alum Chris Camozzi just 95 seconds into their middleweight main card scrap.

A veteran of K-1 competition, Hunt finally got to show off his superior striking skills in the Octagon, as the kickboxer badly lacerated opponent Chris Tuchscherer with a left hook before sealing the deal with a devastating right uppercut early in round two.

Ebersole made the most of his UFC debut. The Sydney-based American shocked oddsmakers by employing a varied and unorthodox offense to which Lytle had no answer. Ebersole, whose first technique thrown in the fight was a capoeira-style cartwheel kick, was awarded a unanimous decision for his efforts.
