Five bouts are now official for MFC 30 “Up Close and Personal,” as Curtis Demarce will meet Robert Washington in a lightweight confrontation, while Andreas Spang and Cody Krahn will tangle at middleweight, the Maximum Fighting Championship announced Wednesday.

Headlined by a lightweight title confrontation between UFC veterans Drew Fickett and Hermes Franca, MFC 30 goes down June 10 at the Mayfield Inn Trade and Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The event will also showcase another former UFC talent in Marcus Davis, as “The Irish Hand Grenade” will look to follow up on his successful MFC debut against Team Quest’s Richie Whitson. Additionally, Thomas Denny will lock horns with Sheldon Westcott in a rematch of their February welterweight tussle which ended in a draw.

Demarce recently had a seven-fight win streak snapped by back-to-back losses against Whitson and Davis. Though he came up on the short end of the judges’ decision in both fights, the Five Star representative gave an excellent account of himself in both three-round affairs.

Representing Finney’s H.I.T. Squad, Washington has lost three of his last four. After winning eight-straight bouts to begin his career, “The Beast” was knocked out for the first time in July by Ronnie Borja. Although the fighter rebounded with a victory, he would fall to Franca and Tyrone Glover in his two MFC appearances to date.

Known as the “Sweet Swede,” Spang comes off the first loss of his career at MFC 29, where the three-year pro was submitted with a rear-naked choke just 95 seconds into his middleweight confrontation with Ali Mokdad.

Krahn has won seven of his last eight, most recently besting veteran Shannon Ritch at King of the Cage 48 in November. A veteran of Heat XC and The Fight Club, Krahn holds seven of his 10 career victories by submission.
