Alan Jouban will return from a 14-month hiatus when he meets Dwight Grant at UFC 236.
The Las Vegas-based promotion recently confirmed the welterweight booking. UFC 236 takes place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on April 13 and is headlined by an interim lightweight championship showdown between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass.
Jouban has been out of action since knocking out Ben Saunders 2:38 into the second round of their UFC on Fox 28 encounter on Feb. 24, 2018. The 36-year-old Louisianan is 7-4 during his promotional tenure and 16-6 as a professional overall.
A former competitor on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, Grant earn his first Octagon triumph with a first-round TKO of Carlo Pedersoli Jr. at UFC Prague on Feb. 23. He dropped a split verdict against Zak Ottow in his debut at UFC on Fox 31. Grant is 9-2 as a pro, with seven wins coming via KO/TKO.
