Alexandre Pantoja vs. Matt Schnell Set for UFC Fight Night 165 in South Korea

A pivotal flyweight fight is going down on Dec. 21 in Busan, South Korea, at UFC Fight Night 165, as Alexandre Pantoja will take on Matt Schnell.

Combate was first to report the news. UFC South Korea will be the promotion’s final event of 2019.

Pantoja lost his last fight to Deiveson Figueiredo by decision at UFC 240. The loss snapped his three-fight winning streak that included triumphs over Wilson Reis and Brandon Moreno. He is currently ranked fourth in the flyweight division by the UFC and ninth in the Sherdog.com rankings.

Schenll, on the other hand, is on a four-fight winning streak and coming off of a first-round submission win over Jordan Espinosa at UFC on ESPN 5. The victory extended his winning streak to four, which also includes a first-round submission win over Louis Smolka. He is currently 4-2 inside the Octagon and ranked 10th in both the UFC and Sherdog.com rankings.
