Alexis Dufresne won’t be competing for Bellator MMA anytime soon.
Sherdog.com confirmed with a promotion official on Friday that the Dufresne is pregnant and has withdrawn from a proposed matchup with Arlene Blencowe at Bellator 137 on May 15. BloodElbow.com was the first to report the news.
Dufresne recently signed with Bellator after a two-fight stint at bantamweight in the UFC. The 24-year-old went 0-2 in the Las Vegas-based promotion, missing weight ahead of both of her losses. Prior to her Octagon foray, the Temecula, Calif., resident finished her first five professional opponents inside of a round.
Bellator 137 takes place at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., and is headlined by a middleweight title tilt between Brandon Halsey and Kendall Grove. At this time it is unknown if Blencowe will remain on the card.
