A flyweight showdown between rising talents Ali Bagautinov and John Lineker has been booked for UFC 169, promotion officials recently announced.

The 125-pound showdown takes place Feb. 1 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and will air live on Fox Sports 1 prior to the UFC 169 pay-per-view broadcast. The event is topped by a pair of championship contests, as bantamweight king Dominick Cruz and featherweight ruler Jose Aldo put their titles on the line against interim champ Renan Barao and surging contender Ricardo Lamas.

Bagautinov, 28, has not lost since May 2011, rattling off eight straight wins before scoring a technical knockout victory over Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini in his September UFC debut. The combat sambo ace last competed on Nov. 16, when he outpointed Tim Elliott in a hard-fought unanimous decision at UFC 167.

Lineker, 23, has struggled to make the flyweight limit during his UFC career, missing weight in three of his five Octagon appearances. “Hands of Stone” most recently came in at 128 pounds for his Oct. 26 clash with Phil Harris, in which Lineker scored the 11th knockout win of his five-year career.
