Alistair Overeem Calls Out 'Hot Balls' Derrick Lewis Via Twitter

Fresh off an emphatic TKO victory at UFC Fight Night 141 in Beijing this past weekend, Alistair Overeem has not wasted any time in trying to line up his next fight.

“The Reem” had been on a two-fight skid heading into his fight against undefeated Ultimate Fighting Championship newcomer Sergey Pavlovich. He lost to to Francis Ngannou by knockout last December and to his now-teammate Curtis Blaydes in a blood-spattered ground-and-pound TKO in June.

The 38-year-old posted on Twitter that his fans had requested “to see a technician versus a brawler” before calling out Derrick Lewis by the sobriquet “Hot Balls,” a reference to Lewis having removed his shorts in the Octagon after his win over Alexander Volkov last month, then explained to commentator Joe Rogan that he had done so because his “balls [were] hot.”

“I’m hearing you guys want to see a technician versus a brawler. What do you say Hot Balls?”

Overeem seems to be keen to get back into the Octagon quickly, as he expressed at the post-fight press conference in Beijing his desire to face Ngannou in a rematch, and his “guarantee” that that rematch would go differently.
