Anders-Phillips, Holtzman-Horcher First Fights Official For Fresno's UFC Fight Night 123

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's first card in Fresno, Calif., finally has a couple of fights.

UFC Fight Night 123 will feature a lightweight bout between Scott Holtzman and Darrell Horcher, while at 185 pounds, undefeated Eryk Anders will face off with debuting Welshman John Phillips. The bouts were confirmed Monday as Holtzman, Horcher and Anders all revealed the bookings on their respective Instagram accounts.

The event takes place Dec. 9 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno. The main card is scheduled to air on Fox Sports 1.

Tennessee's Holtzman, 33, has alternated wins and losses since his UFC debut in August 2015, taking wins over Anthony Christodoulou, Cody Pfister and Michael McBride, while dropping decisions to Drew Dober and Josh Emmett. The 30-year-old Horcher made his UFC debut in April 2016 on primetime network television, stepping in for Tony Ferguson to face a returning Khabib Nurmagomedov and suffering a second-round TKO loss. “The Saint” returned to the Octagon in June, taking a split verdict over Devin Powell.

The 9-0 Anders, who won a national football title at the University of Alabama where he starred as a linebacker, made an outstanding short-notice debut at UFC on Fox 25 in July, as the 30-year-old subbed for an injured Alessio Di Chirico and explosively clobbering veteran Rafael Natal in less than three minutes. Phillips, 32, has been a staple of shows in the United Kingdom since his 2005 debut. Since a May 2013 loss to recent “Ultimate Fighter” winner Jesse Taylor, “The White Mike Tyson” has won four in a row via knockout.
