Silva and Gastelum were initially scheduled to meet at UFC 212 in Brazil this past June, but that bout was canceled after Gastelum received a provisional suspension for a positive marijuana test in relation to a UFC Fight Night 106 bout vs. Vitor Belfort in March.
Silva halted a five-bout winless streak in his last outing at UFC 208, as he outpointed Derek Brunson on Feb. 11. Gastelum, meanwhile, is coming off a third-round submission defeat to former 185-pound champion Chris Weidman at UFC on Fox 25 on July 22.
