A heavyweight clash between Andrei Arlovski and Philipe Lins has been rebooked for UFC Fight Night 171 on May 13.

Arlovski confirmed the pairing in an Instagram post on Monday. UFC Fight Night 171 takes place at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, and is headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira. Arlovski and Lins were initially slated to meet at UFC Oklahoma City on May 2 before that card was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Arlovski has been victorious just once in his last six Octagon appearances – a unanimous verdict against Ben Rothwell at UFC on ESPN 4 last July. In his most recent outing, “The Pit Bull” suffered a 29-second KO defeat to Jarizinho Rozenstruik at UFC 244 this past November.

Lins will make his promotional debut on the heels of capturing the 2018 Professional Fighters League heavyweight championship. The 34-year-old Brazilian, who did not compete at all in 2019, went 4-0 during his PFL campaign, earning finishes of Alex Nicholson, Caio Alencar, Jared Rosholt and Josh Copeland. “Monstro” also went 3-3 during a stint with Bellator MMA from 2014 to 2017.
